Sarah McDonald’s research featured at international virology conference

Sarah McDonald, an assistant professor at the Virginia Tech Carilion Research Institute, presented her work with rotavirus at the annual meeting of the American Society for Virology.
The conference was held in Blacksburg, Virginia, from June 18 to June 22. More than 1,300 virologists from across the globe attended the conference, which was hosted by Virginia Tech.
Other speakers included Virginia Tech faculty from the Virginia-Maryland College of Veterinary Medicine, where McDonald serves as an assistant professor, and from the College of Science. Most of Virginia Tech’s graduate students in virology also presented their work.
