Recent advances in understanding the conduction system in the heart have advanced our understanding of how arrhythmias are initiated and perpetuated. Dr. Boyden will discuss several examples of this and the reasons for it. She will also explore important new information about the macromolecular composition of the heart’s Purkinje fiber “pacemaking” machinery.
