Interested in applying your PhD beyond the bench? Michele Korf, an Emmy-Award-winning expert in educational media, will discuss the possibilities in broadcast and digital media, especially as they relate to the education market. She will discuss how the roles of those professionals have evolved over time, and where the field is heading. She will also discuss her own experiences in public broadcasting, publishing, higher education, and now as an independent business owner working with universities on online course and digital media strategy and implementation.

About the Speaker:

Michele Korf graduated Phi Beta Kappa from Cornell and received her MA in teaching and curriculum from Columbia University Teachers College. Prior to forming Michele Korf and Associates, she spent two decades as the Executive Producer and Executive Director of the Educational Programming and Outreach Departments at WGBH in Boston. She also served as Executive Director for Distance Learning and Outreach at the University of Alabama. She has received an Emmy, a CINE Golden Eagle, and a Columbus International Award.
