2014 BEST program

Virginia Tech has recently been awarded a grant from the National Institutes of Health to support professional development activities for doctoral students and postdoctoral trainees in the biomedical sciences. You may enroll in one or more of the proposed “BEST program” activities that are designed to Broaden the Experiences of Scientific Trainees in order to:

  • provide exposure to multiple diverse career paths in the biomedical sciences
  • provide early career guidance and skill development
  • better prepare trainees to pursue a variety of career paths
